The AS400 Developer is responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of applications running on an AS/400 platform. The purpose of this role is to add on to and/or build out software solutions that manage our daily business operations.
Developer Responsibilities
Coding new programs and modifying or enhancing existing programs
Troubleshooting and debugging issues
Creating documentation for users
Recording and logging asks in a project management software
Efficiently managing projects and tasks that may have overlapping timelines
Participating in bi-weekly programming meetings
Qualifications
Associates degree and 5+ years of AS/400 (iSeries) experience
RPG programming (RPG I-IV, RPG Free, ILE, CL, CLLE)
Subfiles and Display files
SQL and DB2 databases
Project management
Demonstrated ability to communicate and convert needs into technical concepts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
